Why Upgrade?

With built-in Web and virtualization technologies, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 enables businesses to increase the reliability and flexibility of their server infrastructure. Powerful new tools provide more control over servers, and streamline Web, configuration, and management tasks. Advanced security and reliability enhancements help protect the server environment to ensure a solid foundation on which to build businesses.

Get Virtual

Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V, the next-generation hypervisor-based server virtualization technology, enables the best use of server hardware investments by consolidating multiple server roles as separate virtual machines (VMs) running on a single physical machine. Hyper-V runs multiple different operating systems—Windows, Linux, and others—in parallel, on a single server, and fully leverage the power of x64 computing. Virtualization strategies in IT result in a lower TCO, due to reduced costs for power, cooling and management. Are your applications ready for Hyper-V? Test today with the "Works with" tool.
